About
Octavian Liviu Gherghe is a Toronto-based industrial designer graduating from OCAD University in 2026. His work sits at the intersection of the built and natural environment, most recently with Subfloora, a biophilic planter tower designed for Toronto's underground PATH network.
His approach is shaped by a background in math and physics: research-driven, structure-first, and focused on buildability without sacrificing intent. He draws from a wide range of sources : furniture history, game design, ecological systems, Romanian culture - and is most interested in work that rewards closer attention.
Currently open to opportunities in product and furniture design, with a particular interest in studios working at the intersection of nature, materials, and built space.
